Salem School Art Gala and Show”
Through the month of April
Stillwater Art Guild Gallery
Students from Salem Lutheran School in Stillwater will be the first school to display their work at the Stillwater Art Gild Gallery. Artist in residence April Mehls taught each class Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Each student has selected a final piece to be on display for the month of April.

Celebrate Poetry Month

Stillwater Public Library
The Valley Bookseller, Stillwater Public Library, ArtReach Alliance and Arcola Mills invite the community to this free and open to the public poetry series Celebrating Poetry Month.  You are invited to meet two great authors at the Stillwater Public Library Deborah Keenan will read from her eighth book Willow Room, Green Door: New and Selected Poems. Keenan has received two Bush Foundation Fellowships for her poetry, an NEA Fellowship, and The Loft McKnight Poet of Distinction Award among others. Jim Lenfesty will read from his latest collection of poetry, A Cartload of Scrolls: 100 Poems on the Manner of T’ang Dynasty Poet Han-Shan. Jim has published poetry reviews and articles, plus a book of essays, The Urban Coyote: Howlings on Family, Community and The Search of Peace and Quiet.

Stillwater Early Childhood Education’s 18th Annual Children’s Festival
Saturday, April 12th, 9am-1pm at Rutherford Elementary School
$5 per child at the door includes many fun games and activities. Activities include super jumps, face painting, games, music, and story time. ArtReach Alliance will offer free hands-on art activities. Open to all families with young children! Proceeds benefit Stillwater Area Public Schools Early Childhood Programs. Valley Chamber Chorale “Voices of Reason and Beauty”
April 18 at 8 p.m.

This is a concert in celebration of the planet Earth and our need to care for it.  The featured work will be a commission by Aaron David Miller that will honor the beauty of the St. Croix Valley and all of nature.

“Croix Chordsmen Chorus”
